Katy Perry is set to rock your world with her newly released album Prism as she roars about her life after split from now ex-husband Russell Brand.
Growing up in Santa Barbara, California, Katy Perry herself endured the brunt of endless torture from school bullies over her figure, specifically her larger breasts. “They used to call me ‘over the shoulder boulder holder’,” Perry said in a tweet, “now they call me hot.” And she could not be more correct. Her latest album is expected to soar straight to the top of the Billboard Hot 200 list thanks to her voluptuous figure, unshakable spirit, and rockin’ voice that makes her a triple threat.

According to W magazine,
Katy Perry’s split from husband Russell Brand, married for 14 months, ended in 2011 via text message leaving the pop star admittedly in bed for two weeks, seemingly depressed about life and with little to roar about. “I was having a great professional streak, but personally, I was really immature, so I had to balance those things out…But I like how I am now, and I think all things happen for a reason…If you are not happy with something, you should change it. So I went to a lot of therapy, and finally, I am able to speak up for myself: You are going to hear me roar!”
Her strength and determination came from a multitude of places including her parents, both Christian ministers, her belief in God, and the humility she found in Beverly Hills. “I try and keep my connection with the G-O-D or with a power that’s bigger than me. It’s important – otherwise, you don’t have any kind of accountability…For me, accountability works.”
At the age of 17, she obtained a G.E.D and made her way to Los Angeles where she signed a deal with Glenn Ballard, who also represented Alanis Morissette at the time. “I was living in Beverly Hills, and a big famous producer had taken me under his wing. I was getting a monthly allowance – had a Louis Vuitton key chain for my Jetta! I thought I was the bee’s knees.” But Katy Perry’s early success would not last long. “I got dropped from my record label. And the Jetta was impounded. And I couldn’t pay my bills…As cheesy as it sounds, the rejection built a lot of character in me.”
Her valor, persistence, and tenacity has carried her character, and career, to new heights. In addition to finding success in her first love of music, she’s found another possible long-term success with her long time crush, John Mayer. Perry, when asked about her new love and long-term crush, has been reported saying, “…it just so happens we fit together great.” Many fans would agree, too.
As Katy Perry roars her way through her new-found life after split with Russell Brand, her message of strength, courage, and never giving up on yourself can be heard the world over.
