Kanye West has been served a restraining order, following an alleged attack on a photographer at LAX airport .
A court has ordered West to stay at least 30 feet away from photographer Daniel Ramos, who filed a civil lawsuit against the star.
Ramos accused the 36-year-old of assault, after West allegedly tampered with his camera, a move which the photographer claimed breached his civil rights.
West was represented by celebrity attorney Blair Berk, who is said to have demanded all of the prosecution’s evidence and case materials be handed over, a stipulation to which the judge agreed.
Representatives of the photographer pressed to have West attend anger management classes ordered by the court.
This request was shot down by the magistrate, who suggested their client keeps his distance from West.
The prosecution is said to have seven videos showing the alleged assault from every angle.
West’s legal team filed documents claiming the rapper acted in self-defence, saying: “Daniel Ramos wilfully and wrongfully caused Kanye West to reasonably believe his safety was in immediate danger.”
The trial is still ongoing as Ramos seeks damages against the musician and producer. West could be sentenced to up to a year in jail if found guilty.
