The Anti-Bomb Unit of the Enugu State Police Command has successfully recovered and evacuated a device identified as an Unexploded Ordinance Device (UXO) believed to be a left over of the civil war.
The bomb was recovered and successfully evacuated from a building site at Unity Estate, off Independence Layout in Enugu, the state capital.
Meanwhile, the state Police command has warned members of the public not to tamper with any strange object whenever they come in contact with such during farming, road construction or building construction. Instead, they should report promptly to the nearest police station or the anti-bomb unit of the state police command.
