Trial judge, Justice Latan Nyordee, had yanked off the appeal of the defense counsel who had argued that the video evidence did not emanate from an original source. The judge had admitted that irrespective of the source, the video goes to prove a point as far as the case was concerned.
Recall that four Uniport students, namely; Ugonna, Llyod, Chidiaka, and Tekenna were brutally murdered at Omuokiri-Alu, a community near Port Harcourt city.
Since the incident, about 12 people have been arrested in connection with the murder, including the community chief who was granted bail last week alongside 2 others. They were said not to have participated directly in the murder.
